If your till machine or tablet re-starts, and you are faced with the Windows login screen, before you get to the desktop where the tengoPos icon is, you will need to enter a password.
Newer machines (typically supplied from late 2018 onward) that have come to you direct from the manufacturer, use the password “tengo”. User name if you need it, “Tengo Software”. Any machines older than 2018 typically have no password set.
If you are unsure, leave the field blank and press Enter, if you get a message saying “incorrect password” or similar, type – tengo and enter. One or the other will get you past the log in screen.
